Also, I did get a new website and domain name for moving this blog to.  I just have to get the template set up so that it looks the same.  But when it’s ready, iluvart.net will be the new url for my art blog! :)

For those who use Picasa or need space to host photos of their art, I saw this article online and thought maybe you’d be interested:

"Major Update for Picasa Web Albums
Today Picasa Web Albums has the most important update since its
launch, in June 2006. Basically, it adds the most requested features
and even some obscure features that will make you very happy. First,
the free version of Picasa Web gets 1 GB of storage…

I got this really great Pencil Wrap (or "pencil roll") from Cheap Jones Art Stuff.  It’s made by Derwent.  It holds 30 pencils plus one double-wide slot for an eraser or something.  I just love it.

Kate on the EDM board reminded me of this neat website at The British Library:

This is very cool-

Leonardo Da Vinci notebook at the British Library. You can even "Turn The Pages" of the book, zoom in on the images and writing.

To turn the pages of this book, check out these links:

I’m a Moleskine fan and user (those little black notebooks) and this reminds me of a Moleskine. I think Moleskine users would get a kick out of this. :)

Huh, this is something!  Just a couple days ago I was looking at coffe ring on paper and wondered what would happen if someone tried to make art out of it, i.e. paint with it.  Then today I just found this:

I am going to try CoComment.com Supposedly it helps you keep track of comments you left all over the place on other blogs. THAT sure would be nice. Hope it works well.  :)

Some people are so creative it’s almost depressing.  I mean, sometimes I look at people’s pix and think "HOW did he/she come UP with that!"  "I could never be that creative!"  I mean, I can DRAW, but to come up with these whimsical ideas, wow.

Through my surfing travels I found this really neat website:

prettydarnswell.com/ … their "About" page: prettydarnswell.com/newaboutus.htm

… a site where you can buy art from budding artists and part of the money goes to charity. Check it out!

Thanks to Jill for pointing out that amazing video.

Quote from site: "His name is Stephen Wilshire and he is considered a star among savants in London. Stephen has the uncanny ability to photograph places he has seen only once with his mind. He is then able to reproduce them on canvas with amazing accuracy. This video is simply astounding!"

It really IS amazing.
