Here are two drawings that I did in my new Lama Li sketchbook that I got on Sunday. The cafe one was done in the Books A Million Cafe right after I bought the sketchbook. I drew the line from left to right first, the line of the top of the case, over the guy’s head, etc. Then filled everything else in. I usually draw in my moleskine but I really love my new Lama Li sketchbook a lot!
The lady w/ the glasses, I had seen her last weekend in a restaurant and thought she looked… "sketch-worthy", so I took her pic w/ my camera phone and then today drew the sketch (or "sketched the drawing") (or whatever).
kw: artwork, drawing, sketch, sketchbook, lama li, moleskine, glasses, lady, cafe, pencil

Congratulations on being so productive! I love the sketch of the lady with the glasses.

I have not even attempted sketching outdoors or away from the privacy of my own home–good job! Yes–the lady was interesting enough to snap a picture of. I was browsing around–and am totally amazed at all the blogs you have! I can’t imagine how you can keep up with them all!
Always, Rita

The lady with glasses looks interesting…like she’s traveling incognito or something. Glad you took advantage and turned her into a drawing.

Great sketches to christen your new sketchbook with. Never heard of a Lama Li before, any chance you could photograph it and show us it in it’s jacket?
I’d love a peek!

Wow, that woman does have an intent expression and posture and I thnk you made a good drawing of her. Putting in the verticals and horizontals (counter sketch)to help sight the rest is the way my tutor teaches too, keep on going Lauren, you’re doing great.
