Maybe someone twisted it up and made it into a lovely shape.
They sell mobiles at the markets here, made from old spons that have been hammered and bent out of shape. 

I always feel sorry for a spoon that has been so bashed up.

Yours is a nice spoon though. Keep drawing!</description>

					<description>It might be modified for a baby spoon ...we have one around one of our houses with a similar twist to it...so you could stick a finger thru it and hold on to it...nice job bytw:&amp;gt;</description>

					<description>Hi! Nice sketch! I also wonder what it must've been used for. Perhaps you had to pass your index finger through the loop to grab it tight. perhaps designed  for children or people with muscles problems who coldn't hold a spoon. I want to know!!!</description>
