I did EDM #11, Sunglasses, today. I drew it in my moleskine while at Subway, after finishing my sub and waiting for my physical therapy appointment. Now that I look at it on the computer, the lenses look wonky, kinda twisted, but I KNOW that is what I SAW when I drew it. I remeber thinking when I drew it that it seemed funny, but that’s exactly what I saw. Idunno. These sunglasses have a slip-on sun visor. I got that visor at rei.com YEARS ago, it was the first item I ever purchased via the internet. That sunglass visor is the best thing!

Glasses are hard to draw. You did a very good job on them. Cool glasses btw

I think you did a great job with a difficult subject. Glasses are plain hard to draw because of their shape and so many perspective points. The lenses do look a little wonky, but considering what you’re working with, I can believe that is what you saw. The whole foreshortening thing comes into play here. This is a very good sketch!

I havn’t had a go at glasses yet myself - they look soo hard. I like your drawing, especially the visor part. Well done.

Thanks for visiting and your comments. I think you have got the shapes - but sunglasses are challenging, I just did mine and posted them. I think looking down on them which you also obviously were (and if I can tell what angle you were observing from, they must be right) makes things even more challenging

Its great to draw every day. A really nice drawing, I love the wonkiness, because that makes them interesting.

these are cool glasses…do they have a cap attached to them…never seen it? Great job on something difficult!

Yes, I just read above the drawing where you say there is a visor attached to the glasses. I have to learn to read at the beginning… I always read from bottom to top and from the back of a magazine to the front and I read the last chapter of a book first…
