Not too long ago I drew a sketch in my moleskine from memory, it was a drawing of my cat hiding in a bag. [original post] It was an image that exists on film "somewhere" but I did not know where the picture was, and so I drew it from memory. Well, I FINALLY found the photograph that I had in my head! Here’s the drawing again as well as the found photo-
NOT BAD! I have to say, not bad considering it was from memory!

Oh! How wonderful!! Your photo and drawing made my day.

When I saw your drawing I really cracked up, then with the photo!!! LOL!! I have 2 cats, one gets into EVERYTHING she can. I’ve found her in empty flower pots, paper bags, plastic bags, Starbucks bags, drawers, any open box, suitcases, you name it. Her name is Peach, for a tiny peach colored spot above one eye. We got her at 4 weeks old, now she rules the roost!!
Also, I just put my old kitty down a month ago. I found Arthur, a skinny scroungy tuxedo cat back in 2001. I thought he was a kitten, the vet said no, he was 8-10 years old then.
When we brought home 2 new kitties, he tolerated the female, but decided two boys in the house was too much and started spraying. Arthur had always been an indoor/outdoor cat, so out he went.
He then “adoped” our next-door neighbor, but would come over for a snack or just some scratches.
I knew it was time for Arthur to be put down when he didn’t visit. I asked the neighbor, and he said Arthur had trouble walking and was losing his fur.
I figure he’s up in kitty heaven, and I sometimes sit outside late at night and have a good chat with him.
Take care!

This is amazing! Great sketch! I thought at first the bag must surely be bigger until I saw the photo. Don’t you just love those crazy cats!

That’s brilliant! My cat does the same thing, they are a wonderful source of amusement and inspiration, aren’t they.

I LOVE this photo and your drawing is so cute. What a great pose! She looks like such a wonderful kitty. I hope you are feeling better each day and that your sweet memories are giving you comfort. Cats are so funny about wanting to get into (or on top of) anything that they see. Hey, have you seen the daily web comic “toothpaste for dinner”? It’s great and the guy has a pug named Chester, who sometimes appears in his comics. Here’s the link: http://www.toothpastefordinner.com/
